Liz Seaton, Watercolor Artist

Liz Seaton is a potter turned painter.  "I’ll dream of a painting for weeks before starting on it, or paint urgently in a dynamic moment of inspiration. I seek to take you with me to a moment in time or a place along a journey. Watercolors - lively and transparent - lend themselves to perfectly to this. A lifelong student of the arts, my jeans are embedded with clay and stained with colors.  Picasso said: 'All children are artists. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up.' I am happy to show you some favorites.  I hope you like them."

Roberto Roque, Pluma Avis Domus

Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/pluma.avisdomus (Pluma Avis Domus)

Instagram: https://instagram.com/plumaavisdomus (plumaavisdomus)

Pluma Avis Domus birdhouses are made of woods from Ipe to purple heart and ply. I use scraps, leftovers, or good pieces from damaged furniture sitting at non profit stores. Wood that would likely go to a landfill. In aging they become like the bark on multi-hued trees that cavity dwellers live in, not a flat unnatural slab. They are oversized on the exterior but the nesting cavities are to Audubon specs for a variety of birds. I use food safe waterproof glue, quality screws and solid brass hinges for the clean out panel. They have drainage holes and lips. The painted pieces are from old fences and no stain is used. I allow the woods to show their color.  I do coat them with spar to further delay the materials trip to a landfill. The interiors have no paint stain or coating.
