'Tis the season for love and gratitude, Part 2

In this month filled with to-do lists, wish lists, grocery lists, checklists of all kinds, it's important to catch the small moments of serendipity to be found over the holidays. This month I've been given precious gifts of remembrance, generosity, and kindness, and I am so grateful -- I'd like to acknowledge them here all week, and offer a discount gift to you, too! You'll find it at the end of this post. :-)

The Gift: Encouragement, friendship, and the Holiday Guild Market -- Frank Asher, Old City Farm & Guild

Many of my morning walks this year have ended up at Old City Farm & Guild. It's a beautiful, tranquil outdoor garden center, and Frank Asher has been my wonderful friend for many years. The Farm is known for its fantastic holiday trees, which arrive just around Thanksgiving and are sold out every year. The fragrance of the trees mingled with the smoky fire pit, and the arrival of families coming to pick out their trees has been a beautiful experience!

Frank and I talked about creating a space for artists and food purveyors to sell their wares during this magical season, and the Holiday Guild Market at Old City Farm & Guild was born. It has turned out to be a lovely event for the vendors, the shoppers, and the Farm, and I'm so happy to have been able to organize an event here!

We received lots of terrific support from Ruby Mitchell, Old City Farm & Guild's Manager. Ruby, thank you for all of your wonderful help and good cheer!

The last Holiday Guild Market will be held this Saturday, December 19. I am super grateful for the opportunity to be here to sell my cards and prints, and to tell others about my company -- thank you, Frank!

Tomorrow, I'll tell you about other precious gifts I've been given this month. In the meantime, here's a little shopping gift for you: a ten percent discount off anything in my online store. Just add the discount code TAKETEN at checkout -- it's good through December 31st.

I would love to hear about gifts you've already received this month; please write to me at papertraveler [at] gmail [dot] com, and tell me your story. Have a beautiful day, dear friends!
