Hello, dear friends!
I hope to see you -- if you live in the DMV -- at the MidCity in Bloom Garden Party, hosted by Logan Hardware and featuring lots of vendors. You can find more information about the event here -- it's gonna be a blast! The party gets started on Sunday, April 17, from 12-3pm.
I'll be bringing original collage art...
Joyous spring flower cards...
Lovely Mother's Day cards...
and beautiful art prints!
You can find me upstairs on the third floor with some gorgeous pottery that you must check out.
Hope to see you on Sunday!
We have been enjoying an early Spring warm up in the metro Washington DC area, and I'm happy to feature some new blossoming cards, and to reintroduce a few favorites which have been in stock for awhile.
It's just about cherry blossom season at the Tidal Basin in Washington, DC -- check out the National Cherry Blossom Festival -- but I found these lovely branches last spring in Reston, VA. I could hardly wait a whole year to show them to you!
I found these lovely forsythia branches in my neighborhood, too.
Old City Farm & Guild in Washington, DC sells beautiful redbud trees -- they will be open soon for the spring season!
More delicate cherry blossom branches from the Tidal Basin.
A lovely star magnolia flower in Reston.
I couldn't help but take this picture -- dandelions were everywhere!
The crepe myrtles will come along later in the year, but they are so pretty, I wanted to include this one here, taken at the Wiehle Reston East Metro Station.
All of these cards are in stock and available online. Stop in and see the rest of our blooming cards and art prints, and follow me on Instagram (papertraveler)!
Old City Farm & Guild combines beauty and serenity with fun-filled community events. It's a wonderful garden center in an urban setting that inspires the Shaw neighborhood in Washington, D.C.
I'm happy that Beverly Jones, Paper Traveler cards have a home here; annuals, perennials, and shrubs happily coexist with beehives producing massive amounts of honey, a farm section with bountiful veggies for local restaurateurs, CSA pickups for Lancaster Farms (http://www.lancasterfarmfresh.com/), Saturday yoga classes, and a branch of the Little Free Library (http://littlefreelibrary.org/)
I'm proud to be friends with Frank Asher, the owner of Old City Farm & Guild. He has truly created a little slice of heaven in D.C.! Be sure to check out his website (http://oldcityfarmandguild.com/) and Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/OldCityFarm)!
